At FlightServiceCenter, we want you to have a positive experience. This policy explains how refunds work for airline tickets purchased through our travel agents. FlightServiceCenter does not charge any service fees — the only costs are those set by the airlines.
1. 24-Hour Cancellation Rule (DOT Regulation)
Under U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, airline tickets purchased for flights to or from the United States may be cancelled within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, provided the booking was made at least 7 days before departure.
If you request a cancellation within this 24-hour window:
- We will process the airline ticket cancellation at no charge.
- The airline fare will be refunded per the airline's process (typically 7–14 business days).
2. Cancellations After 24 Hours
After the 24-hour window, cancellations and refunds are subject to the airline's own policies. Please note:
- Many airline tickets are non-refundable after the 24-hour period.
- Some tickets may be eligible for a credit toward future travel (minus any airline-imposed fees).
- Refundable fare tickets can be cancelled for a refund per the airline's terms.
Our agents can assist you with the cancellation process at no additional charge.
3. Flight Changes and Modifications
If you need to change your flight after booking:
- Airline change fees (set by the airline) may apply unless your fare allows free changes.
- If your new flight costs more than the original, you will pay the difference in fare as set by the airline.
- Our agents will assist you with changes at no extra charge from FlightServiceCenter.
4. Airline-Initiated Cancellations
If the airline cancels your flight:
- You are entitled to a full refund of the airline ticket cost from the airline.
- Our agents can assist you in requesting the refund or rebooking at no charge.

- Your booking confirmation or reference number
- The name(s) on the ticket
- The reason for the refund request
6. Refund Processing Time
Refund processing times are determined by the airline and your payment method:
- Credit card refunds: Typically 7–14 business days after the airline processes the refund.
- Other payment methods: Up to 20 business days depending on the airline and payment provider.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds may not be available in the following cases:
- No-show: If you do not show up for your flight without cancelling in advance.
- Non-refundable tickets cancelled after the 24-hour DOT window.
- Partially used tickets (e.g., one leg of a round-trip already flown).
Remember: FlightServiceCenter does not charge any fees. All refund amounts are determined by the airline's fare rules and policies. Our agents are here to help you navigate the process at no cost to you.
